一、各自有特别含义：
1、what about表示做什么事情怎么样。含义后面偏重于接什么事，(用于引出与之前内容相关的新的话题或观点)
例句：
I like English ,chinese and math, what about you?
我喜欢英语，语文和数学，你喜欢什么呢？
2、how about表示怎么样或怎样做某件事。含义后面偏重于怎么做的方式
例句：
I go to school by bus,how about you?
我乘坐公共汽车去上学，你怎么去呢？
二、在以下场合基本相同：What about … 和 how about … 是英语口语中常用的两个省略句型，它们的意思和用法基本相同，常常用在以下场合。
1、向对方提出建议或请求。
例如：
How about some eggs?来些鸡蛋怎么样？
How about going out for a walk?
出去散散步好吗？
What about playing soccer?
